Terms of Use
Effective
These Terms of Use govern your use of Hovermate, its desktop components, optional integrations, support form and legal pages.
The desktop license and Steam verification conditions are set out in the Hovermate EULA. The Discord integration has separate integration terms and a privacy policy; those more specific documents apply to their respective subjects.
Hovermate is provided by Paliverse Apps LLC, based in United States of America ("we", "us"). Contact: paliverse@outlook.com.
1. Using Hovermate
Hovermate is a Windows application for creating and displaying crosshairs, radial menus and other supported overlay content, organizing profiles and invoking configured actions. Available features depend on the release, Windows environment and any connected applications.
By using Hovermate, you agree to these terms to the extent an agreement can validly be formed under applicable law. If you do not agree, stop using the application. You must be at least 13 and meet any higher minimum age required by applicable law or a connected service. If you cannot enter an agreement independently, involve a parent or legal guardian as required by local law.
Our Privacy Policy explains information handling and your choices. Authorizing a third-party integration is optional and does not change that provider's separate agreement with you.
2. Permission to use and ownership
Subject to these terms and any license accompanying your copy, you may install and use an authorized copy of Hovermate for lawful purposes. We retain rights in the application and Hovermate branding except for rights expressly granted to you. You do not acquire ownership of the software or marks merely by using them.
Third-party software, libraries and assets remain subject to their respective licenses and notices. These terms do not remove permissions those licenses grant or restrict rights that applicable law does not allow us to restrict. Any separate license expressly supplied with a component governs that component where it conflicts with these terms.
3. Responsible use
You are responsible for the actions and integrations you configure. In particular:
- Use overlays, automation, shortcuts and integrations only where you have permission and where the relevant application's or game's rules allow them.
- Do not use Hovermate to bypass access controls or anti-cheat systems, compromise other systems, distribute malware, harvest information without permission or infringe someone else's rights.
- Do not misuse Discord or another provider through unauthorized automation, prohibited data collection, abuse or attempts to evade platform restrictions.
- Review imported packages, external URLs, file actions and commands before enabling them. Configured actions can affect running applications and local files.
- Keep backups of important profiles and assets, and protect your device and integration credentials.
4. Games and third-party integrations
Hovermate is an independent application. It is not endorsed by Discord, Microsoft, any game publisher or another integrated service unless explicitly stated by that party. Their names identify compatibility and integrations.
We do not guarantee that an overlay, crosshair, macro or integration is permitted by every game, competition, server or anti-cheat provider. Check the rules before enabling it. A technically available feature is not a promise that a third party permits its use.
Compatibility depends on the selected mode and actions. Desktop Window and Xbox Game Bar render without injecting Hovermate's overlay runtime into the game. The Injected Direct3D 11 backend, where available, loads a runtime into the selected process and hooks its rendering; use it only where expressly permitted. Configured actions may send keyboard input. Permission to display an external overlay does not automatically permit injection, macros or automated input. We do not promise that using any mode prevents account restrictions or anti-cheat action.
Optional integrations depend on your permissions, provider availability and the provider's terms, APIs and client software. They can change, lose access or stop working. We cannot grant permissions on a provider's behalf or promise that an authorization request will be approved.
For Discord, you must also follow the applicable Discord Terms of Service and rules. Discord processes information under its Privacy Policy. You can revoke Hovermate's authorization in Discord's User Settings → Authorized Apps.
5. Profiles, modules and your content
You retain your rights in the profiles, artwork and other content you create. You must have the necessary rights to content you import, display or share. Merely creating or exporting a profile or module does not grant us a license to publish it.
Exported files may contain configuration and assets you added. Review them before sharing. Recipients may keep copies that we cannot recover or delete. Steam Workshop publication is an intentional action and is also subject to Steam's terms and the rights in the content you upload. Future first-party hosted sharing may require additional terms.
A stream-widget link is intended for a browser source on your own computer. Keep it private and review the widget's text, images, music information and selected live values before streaming or recording. You are responsible for the permissions needed to broadcast that material and for what your recording or broadcasting software shares.
6. Releases, availability and support
Hovermate is under development. Features and file formats may change, and early releases may contain errors or interruptions. We may provide updates, change features or discontinue a service, subject to applicable obligations. There is no guaranteed support response time or service level unless we separately agree one with you.
The support form lets you send a question or report without creating a GitHub account. Provide an email address we may use to reply and information relevant to your request. Do not submit spam, abusive or unlawful material, impersonate another person or include passwords, access tokens or unrelated personal information. The form does not accept attachments. Our Privacy Policy explains processing in our delivery queue and private GitHub issue tracker.
A reference number or delivery status confirms only the indicated intake or delivery step. It is not a promise of review, a particular response time, a fix or a refund. Delivery can be delayed or fail; contact paliverse@outlook.com if you need to follow up. We currently reply manually by email and do not send automatic email confirmations. We may limit abusive or excessive submissions while preserving your applicable consumer rights and privacy-request options.
Purchase prices, payment conditions and refunds are governed by the offer and platform through which you obtain Hovermate, together with mandatory consumer rights. These terms do not themselves create a subscription or entitlement to every future paid feature.
7. Warranties and liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Hovermate is supplied "as is" and "as available", without a promise of uninterrupted operation, fitness for a particular purpose or compatibility with every game, device or service.
To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the application, such as lost profits, lost opportunities or losses caused by a third-party service being unavailable. You remain responsible for your configuration, backups and compliance with third-party rules.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud or intentional misconduct and any other protected category under applicable law. If a limitation is not allowed in your jurisdiction, it applies only to the extent legally permitted.
8. Ending use, disputes and changes
You can stop using Hovermate at any time, close its Engine, remove the application and revoke optional integrations. Local settings, assets, exported packages and backups may remain after uninstalling; see the Privacy Policy for deletion information.
Permission under these terms ends if you materially violate them, subject to any notice or remedy required by law. This does not authorize us to erase your local content or cancel permissions independently granted by third-party licenses.
If a problem arises, contact paliverse@outlook.com so we can try to resolve it. These terms do not require arbitration or prevent you from using a court, regulator or other remedy available under applicable law. Mandatory protections in your place of residence remain available.
We may revise these terms as the application changes. The updated text and effective date will be published here, with additional notice where legally required. Changes do not apply retroactively where the law prohibits that. If you disagree with changed terms, you can stop using the affected service. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent permitted by law.
